Todd Kolster is Named the New Catholic Central Football Coach

Catholic Central High School has named Todd Kolster to lead the Cougar Football program. Coach Kolster is the current Director of Athletics at Catholic Central. He has a solid history of coaching experience.
Kolster was a member of the Grand Valley State University football coaching staff for seven years (2001-2008), including three years tutoring the running backs and four years as the offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach. During his tenure as offensive coordinator, GVSU ranked among the GLIAC leaders in every offensive category and his offense featured the ability to “grind it out” or score via the big play.
He states, “I am very excited to take over a program with the history and tradition of Catholic Central. I look forward to expanding my role even further within our great school and community.”
Prior to joining the GVSU staff, Kolster was the defensive coordinator at East Grand Rapids for one year. Todd was the defensive line coach at his alma mater, Hope College, for three years. He played four years of football on the defensive line for Hope.
Kolster graduated from Hope College with a degree in Physical Education / Kinesiology-Communications and received his Master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education from Grand Valley State University. Todd, his wife, Kim, and their one-year-old son, Kane, reside in Allendale.
